Hey there! Hope you’re doing well.
If you’ve ever chatted with us or shopped through the DMs or WhatsApp, you’ve probably received this greeting 😊 Today, we're sending it out to the world as we officially welcome you to our little corner of the internet.
So, what is Note It Down all about - and why do we now have our own little corner?
You probably know us as a growing business based in Nairobi, Kenya that sells the cutest and most functional planners, journals, and stationery products. (Expect some new goodies soon, by the way!) And you’re technically right - that is what we sell.
But what you might not know is that we design every single planner and journal ourselves. Yes! You heard that right. Behind every product is hours (and hours) of research into the psychology of the mind, why each product will come in clutch, and how to best lay it out for maximum impact. We listen to your feedback, tweak and test layouts, obsess over color palettes, comb through trends in the Kenyan market (our home and primary audience) and the global planner world - all to bring YOU the perfect product.
And then, of course, we cross our fingers, say a little prayer, and hope you’ll love it enough to buy it 😂
Does that make us a Made in Kenya brand? We strongly believe it does - and we’re so proud of that!
But behind the products is the heart. The mission. The why.
Ours? To Inspire Intentional Living.
That’s the reason we do what we do and show up the way we do.
And when we say a prayer or hope for something, we’re not just thinking about sales. We’re hoping our products make a real difference in your life - even if it's just by 1%.
That’s the win for us!
When you come back and say you’ve been budgeting (using our Financial Planner 😉) to get another product you’ve been eyeing - we do a little happy dance.
When you tell us that the Daily Planner is helping you get more out of your days - we smile a little inside.
When you mention you’re gifting someone the Gratitude Journal or that you recommended the Reflection Journal to a friend - that honestly gets us full-on grinning. Because, wow! What do you mean?! 🥹
That’s intentional living.
It’s planning your day or week and getting more productive hours out of it, and even sneaking in time for a hobby.
It’s using the Wedding Planner and not only enjoying the peace and calm that comes from having everything organized - but also keeping it as a treasured reminder of that season of your life.
It’s journaling - calmly, messily, emotionally (we’ve been in all those situations 🥲) - and seeing how much you’ve grown over the months or years.
Intentional living is having heart behind everything you do.
It’s saying yes to stepping outside your comfort zone today for a better tomorrow.
It’s saying no and drawing a boundary with that family member or colleague.
It’s keeping your promise to yourself - going to the gym or for that walk, simply because you said you would.
It’s resting when it’s time to rest because you know it makes for a better tomorrow.
It’s grinding when it’s time to grind - even when you don’t feel like it.
It’s pausing, reflecting, and strategizing when things feel like they’re falling apart - instead of taking the easy way out and calling it quits.
(Though let’s be honest - knowing when to quit is also important… but that’s a conversation for another day!)
Intentional living is YOU showing up for YOU - daily.
That’s what this little corner of the internet is all about: Inspiring you to show up as and work toward the best version of yourself consistently.
Inspiring you to live intentionally.
Hugs,
XX
