As we wrap up 2025, many of us pause to reflect on the year that was, and we’re no different. In fact, we wanted to share our own reflection with you, because you truly are the heartbeat of Note It Down. We wouldn’t be here without your love, support, excitement, and endless stationery obsession. We mean it!
The Good
This year owes its sparkle to you. Here’s what stood out for us:
1. The Gratitude Journal Glow-Up
The gratitude journal – wow! If we knew this was the product you were all secretly waiting for, we would’ve made it years ago!
Seeing so many of you embrace daily gratitude and intentional living has warmed our hearts. Your messages, photos, and reviews reminded us why we do what we do. Let’s keep this culture going, yeah?
2. The Pens Takeover
Pastels, glitter, gel pens - you name it, you bought it!
It seems 2025 was the year we collectively decided to decorate our planners, journals, and work notebooks in full color. We loved watching you embrace creativity, and yes… more pens are definitely coming in 2026. Stay tuned😄
3. Bookmarks for the Readers (We See You!)
Readers! Readers! Readers! How many times did we call you? (Haha.)
The cherry blossom bookmarks and our other reading accessories were a massive hit! Thank you for overwhelming us with love. And because of that… we’re working on a little surprise for you before the year ends. Get your coins ready 😉
4. Our First Collaborative Product
A major milestone for us this year was our first-ever product collaboration: The Financial Wellness Journal with the amazing Stacy Njimu.
It was rewarding, insightful, and so much fun. We’re excited to collaborate even more in the coming years.

The Bad
Every business has its lows, and we’re keeping it real:
1. Seasonality & Slow Months
If you run a business in Kenya, you know how unpredictable the market can get especially around the maandamano season and other national events. We felt it.
We’re learning, experimenting, and open to all your hacks for navigating low seasons - please share! 🙂
2. Supplier & Production Delays
This year tested our patience.
From switching suppliers, to late deliveries, to customs drama… we saw dust! Could this be a sign that it’s time to start doing our own printing? Maybe, maybe not. But it’s definitely something we're considering for 2026.
The Ugly
Honestly?
Nothing to report here, and that in itself is a blessing.
We made it through the year without major losses, shutdown scares, or disruptions. The lights stayed on, the shelves stayed stocked, and your orders kept us going. This right here… is today’s gratitude journal entry.
